The main goal of this project is a better understanding of the behavior of a single wind turbine (WT). For this purpose we get access to a research WT in Pfinztal, SW Germany. In combination with geophones of the University of Leipzig we want to conduct profile measurements as well as ring measurements to analyse the radiation pattern, propagation and damping of WT-induced seismic waves. We want measure mainly during the holiday season, because we expect a low noise level and moderate to strong winds.
