Abstract

2002-06-15 to 2002-07-15
Within the international seismic refraction experiment ALP 2002, which is designed to resolve the major plate tectonic features of the crust and upper lithosphere of the Eastern Alps and its surrounding areas, an additional passive seismic reflection measurement is carried out. Thereby several 300 kg shots of ALP 2002 are recorded along a 15 km seismic reflection line (300 stations spaced 50 m). The objective of this accompanying measurement is to resolve the structure of the earth crust and the mantle lithosphere within the transition area of the Eastern Alps to the Pannonian Basin in more detail.
