Within the DESERT Sub-project Controlled Source Array (CSA) we deployed 3 seismic lines of approximately 10 km length and a number of receiver arrays to observe signals from controlled sources fired in shot arrays in and around the Wadi Arava Fault/Dead Sea Transform. Main aim of the project was to reveal geometry, structure and physical properties of the strike slip transfrom fault and its vicinity. We used methods such as seismic tomography, reflection seismics, the analysis of explosion generated guided waves and the analysis of reflected refractions/ fault reflections.
