Abstract

TIPTIMON AFGHANISTAN II:
2017-05-23 to 2019-03-31
The Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan feature a unique zone of intense intermediate depth seismicity (60-300 km depth) which was related to ongoing slab break-off. We aim to study the details of this process, focusing on the feedback between crustal tectonics and upper mantle structure.
