Abstract

Rockfall reference signal compilation and array location approach benchmarking:
2017-06-26 to 2017-06-28
Seismic monitoring of rockfalls provides precise information about location, timing, magnitude and evolution of hazardous processes otherwise hard to constrain. To invert seismic signals for the above target variables but also to benchmark different source location approaches we used the TERENO infrastructure near Demmin and released sensor-equipped rocks of 10 to 100000 g weight from heights up to 35 m and monitored their seismic signatures with a geophone array
