Abstract

Greens function modelling for seismic bedload flux monitoring, Nahal Eshtemoa, Israel:
2017-11-01 to 2018-01-05
Seismic monitoring of the particles transported by river floods is a unique approach to continuously constrain the flux of sediment otherwise hard to measure. To get reliable model estimates of grain-size and volume it is essential to provide realistic parameters. The active seismic experiment at the Nahal Eshtemoa river, Israel, provides these parameter constraints and will deliver robust estimates for more than two years of seismic flood monitoring for this unique river.
